2008 built vessel, slightly younger than other fleet vessels, slowly showing signs of her age but nontheless a workhorse of the fleet. Much like the other PG Tankers' fleet of vessels. This vessel shares much the same features as the "10's" in the fleet (10k DWT). Deck arrangement/cargo tanks/accomodation. Slight variations in BWT configuration. Accomodation is basic- but has split messrooms/lounges for officers and crew. Cabins are very basic for crew and officers- with bed, daybed, desk and chair as well as sufficient storage space for clothing and work gear. All served by their own WC/Shower. Only "shared" cabin is the "Owners" cabin which has been converted to two beds- for cadets/extra hands. Downtime facilities vary- lounges have flatscreen TV and games consoles. Additionally indoors is a crosstrainer/rowing machine. Most likely have been upgraded since I was last there- however unconfirmed. Food on board varies depending on the cook on board. My experiences were mixed- with oftentimes having the same "old hands" cooks' which have been with the company since the dawn of time, ready to retire. Food wasn't spectacular- however palletable and varied. You can typically expect "Mystery Monday", "Tricky Tuesday", "Wonder Wednesday", Curry Thursday, Fish Friday, Steak Saturday and a Roast/Cold-Cuts on a Sunday. Least that's the fleet norm! Soft drinks and confectionary as well as some toiletries are available through the ships' bond via the Master at reasonable prices. WiFi system is constantly being reviewed, from a measly 250mb monthly allowance to then 1GB allowance, and $20usd for 2GB top-up. Allowances have been upgraded and captured by the union in each pay review and terms review thankfully. I believe it is up to 5-10GB monthly allowance and top-ups at a reasonable price. For information- the company is charged a flat rate for the system, and not by usage. Accomodation is well looked after, cleaned every couple days/weekend routines should voyage and schedule allow. This vessel does however suffer from poorly performing AC so expect to feel a bit stuffy/warm should it run into problems.
