I have been on the ocean great white for a couple of years. It was diamond drilling but has recently been taken over by noble. All in all the rig is pretty good. The facilities are good and the crew on board are a good gang. I'll try and touch on the things you will elwant to know of your joining here in the future.. Cabins- Jack and Jill style cabins where you have your own room but share a toilet and shower between the two connecting rooms. The other room os generally on the opposite shift so it is basically your own for your time off. One wardrobe, a decent size TV with sky and tnt for the football. They also buy the ppv fights if there are any on during your hitch. Each cabin has a window with curtains for nightshift. Beds are a little small but generally not too bad to sleep in and the hvac in the rooms isn't loud like on some rigs. Food/galley- the galley is large and they have a TV on the wall.so you don't miss out on any sports during your scran. The food in general is good and they have a special night once or twice a week with a steak night or a Chinese night with free cans of juice and chocolate. They always have vegetarian options as well as a salad bar, cereals, fresh fruits and loads of fresh cakes and desserts. They also use the galley for bingo nights once per week where you can win good prizes (£100 winner). You can pay cash on the day to enter and its normally £10 to enter with a few good prizes and its a good laugh so bring some cash with you for entering. Gym- we have one gym for weights and weights machines and one for cardio. Both gyms have tvs and speakers for you to play your own music as well as water machines. Free weight gym has dumbells, all bar types you need, leg machine, overhead press machine, cable machine, Smith machine as well as plenty of benches. Basically everything you could want. Cardio gym has running machines, bikes , spin bikes , rowing machines, skiing pull down machine. Rec areas- I've attached some pictures of the rec spaces, we have plenty. There's numerous xboxes on the rig with fifa and a load of games, a new driving simulator which is really good. We have just got a golf simulator with skytrak and also have right and left handed clubs so everyone can play. There are poker tables, darts boards, table tennis, airhockey and also guitars and a drum kit if you think your jimmy hendrix. The only down side of rec spaces on the rig is the smokers room for all you health conscious people. There isn't a clean and dirty smokers. Just one that can be used and its not very comfy. Bond- there's a bond on board. Only takes card and no cash. Sells all you need, even protein for the gym users. All in all the rig is a pleasant one. Lots of things to do off shift and a good crew. The WiFi on board is limited to 1.3gb per user per day and resets each day
